BandaBeau’s original product, dubbed a towel tamer, was the brainchild of founder Melissa Cricks & designed by Jen Galvin as a fashionable solution to an annoyingly common beachfront & poolside pain point – keeping wind-blown beach towels secured to your lounge chair. The company's name is a playful nod to the towel tamer's design inspiration: the strapless bikini silhouette, the bandeau.
